About the Role

The Financial Analyst II will assist the Accounting Director with financial reporting, GL accounting, and various related activities. This is a key position in our accounting team, requiring strong analytical skills and business judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular reconciliation of financial data, utilizing accrual/payment information from Oracle and A/P to determine accuracy.
  • Assist with external audit requests and prepare/distribute various standard and non-standard reports to management.
  • Prepare journal entries and financial documents according to a regular schedule.
  • Monitor budgets on a monthly basis to ensure expenditures are recorded accurately and within range.
  • Assist other departments and the field by answering accounting-related questions.
  • Perform detailed research/problem analysis and recommend viable solutions.
  • Provide assistance with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting process.
  • Analyze the effects of transactions upon account relationships and evaluate alternative means of treating transactions.
  • Assist with month-end coordination of Oracle system process completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management or equivalent of 4 years experience.
  • 3-5 years directly related experience with accounting and financial reporting required.
  • CPA designation optional.
  • Superior analytical skills, combined with business judgment and ability to communicate with a management team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough.
  • Team player with a positive attitude to work with teams.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience operating financial-based systems (Oracle a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust to fast-paced work environment.
