Job Title: Sr. System Administrator

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Sr. System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Modernization Sector, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our system test and integration lab, and production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for the IT infrastructure and technical assistance as needed to on-site administrators.
  • Troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper switches and routers, and utilize MicroFocus/OpenText and HP Network Monitoring tools.
  • Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems, and provide day-to-day system administration.
  • Maintain servers, create and review monitoring reports and logs, and perform daily system monitoring.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and training to junior staff, and apply OS patches for RHEL and Windows servers.
  • Conduct ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization, as required.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and any possible intrusions.
  • Set up and manage frequent and regular backup operations, ensuring that all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up.

Requirements:

  • TS SCI with poly
  • 16 years of experience, which can be a combination of work history and education
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
  • Ability to process and analyze information, troubleshoot network routing and router/switches, and build and O&M of Linux RHEL systems, MS Windows Server systems, virtual environment, Oracle Servers, and multiple Network Management applications
  • Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) information security requirements, standards, and best practices
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
