Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support our IC customer in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems, including coordination of system development, design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform systems design, development, and integration in a Windows and Unix environment.
  • Continually maintain and provide highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems.
  • Provide engineering support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client server and network devices.
  • Collaborate with the systems administrator to resolve escalated systems issues and communicate status to agency management.
  • Isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Design, install, configure, test, and maintain the integrity of operating systems and configure network components, as well as implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Ceph storage platform
  • GitLab
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
  • TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
