Candidate Profile:

  • Systems Engineer Analyst with the capability to comprehend various roles within targeting systems and the specific challenges faced by users.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with users (analysts, including approvers and adjudicators) to investigate and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and scenarios to inform user interface design.
  • Eager to work alongside developers to identify system inconsistencies; effectively communicates ideas and provides feedback on proposed designs and usability considerations.
  • Analyze user needs to derive software design and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to define software requirements and gather information on project constraints and capabilities.
  • Design and implement user surveys to gather feedback.
  • Conduct usability assessments and partner with product designers and process engineers in application development.
  • Test existing software and document any defects.
  • Offer suggestions for enhancing systems engineering documentation and user experience strategies as needed.
  • Most importantly, be an active and collaborative team member in a fast-paced, agile (scrum methodology) environment.

Essential Qualifications:

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.


A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in customer engagement and collaboration, particularly with demanding technical managers.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in implementing process enhancements and automation.
  • Facilitation of Domain Team Scrum ceremonies.
  • Management of development and documentation tasks within Sprints.
  • Creation of planning artifacts and prioritization of work in collaboration with team members.
  • Certified Scrum Master with proven experience leading software development teams.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) architectures and services.
  • Proficient in the Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, Gliffy).
  • Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards, sprint boards, backlogs, and related documentation.
  • Ability to trace functional requirements to user stories, epics, use cases, and feature maps.
  • Documentation and management of meeting notes, action items, decision logs, risks, and inputs for status reports and other deliverables.
  • Participation in software release planning.
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin offers various alternative work schedules for added flexibility. Schedules may include standard 40-hour weeks or condensed formats, providing additional time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.

Schedule for this Role: 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
