Job Description

Belay Technologies, a leading provider of technology and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information System Security Engineer to join our team.

The selected candidate will have a solid understanding of security practices and policies, as well as hands-on experience with vulnerability testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security architecture, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Architecture: Validate and verify system security requirements, establish system security designs, and implement appropriate information security architectures.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Compliance: Ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions, and recommend and develop technical solutions, products, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with internal technical experts, communicate with Program Managers and customer organizations, and participate in Program Increment Planning and agile team activities.
  • Security Planning: Lead and/or contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience with Defense in Depth principles and technology, including access control, authorization, identification and authentication, public key infrastructure, network and enterprise security architecture, and applying risk assessment methodology to system development.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 or 3, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) Certification, and Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification.
  • Skills: Experience developing and implementing integrated security services management processes, such as assessing and auditing network penetration testing, anti-virus planning assistance, risk analysis, and incident response.
