Nursing Adjunct Instructor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective classroom and lab instruction in your area of expertise.
  • Conduct classes in accordance with established syllabi, outlines, and instructional resources.
  • Assess student performance based on institutional standards.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for academic administration upon request.
  • Engage in scheduled professional development activities.
  • Offer academic and career guidance to students.
  • Continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a diverse group of students.
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of curricula.
  • Maintain regular office hours for student consultations.
Educational Requirements:
  • At least an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of nursing practice.
  • At least six months of nursing practice within the last three years.
  • Technical Diploma candidates must commit to obtaining an Associate's Degree.
Licenses or Certifications Required:
  • Valid and unrestricted Louisiana RN license.
  • Approval from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Desirable Experience:
  • Prior teaching experience is advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in the subject matter.
  • Strong proficiency in the English language.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.
