Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective classroom and laboratory instruction in your area of expertise.
  • Conduct assigned courses in accordance with established syllabi, outlines, and educational materials.
  • Assess student performance based on institutional standards.
  • Prepare documentation for academic administration as needed.
  • Engage in scheduled professional development activities.
  • Offer academic and career guidance to students.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a diverse student population.
  • Participate in the development and assessment of curricula.
  • Maintain regular office hours for student consultations.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
Experience Requirements:
  • At least three years of nursing practice.
  • Minimum of six months of nursing practice within the last three years.
  • Technical Diploma candidates must agree to pursue an Associate's Degree.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Must possess an unencumbered Louisiana RN license.
  • Approval by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required.
Preferred Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior teaching experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening is mandatory.
