Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Rights Information Specialist to contribute to our projects with a focus on metadata management and contract analysis. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a remote work environment and are committed to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze contracts to extract essential metadata and input it into designated templates.
  • Identify and catalog critical metadata elements such as dates, financial figures, deal classifications, royalty and licensing rates, and geographical territories.
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications and adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while communicating effectively with the internal Project Coordinator.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and requests through various communication channels, including online platforms and virtual meetings.
  • Participate in the migration of contracts or metadata templates, ensuring strict adherence to naming conventions and formatting standards.
  • Utilize client-specific software tools, including cloud and web services, as well as APIs.
  • Follow directives from the internal team lead and monitor progress towards project completion metrics, fulfilling assigned quotas and milestones.
  • Assign metadata and summarize contract details, content, and territorial rights for new contracts or amendments in migration documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in data entry through comprehensive research from diverse sources.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, TEAMS, and Word.
  • Experience or interest in the Media & Entertainment sector is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications and rights information management systems is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with clients and internal team members.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain daily performance metrics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property rights, content licensing, and royalty metrics is beneficial but not mandatory.
