About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Casualty Claims Representative. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for investigating accidents, managing claim financials, and providing exceptional customer service to policyholders.
Key Responsibilities- Accident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations to determine coverage and liability for motor vehicle accidents, engaging with customers, claimants, and witnesses.
- Claim Financial Management: Manage claim financials, ensuring timely and accurate payments to policyholders.
- Effective Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including policyholders, agents, underwriters, and claims management, to provide timely updates and resolutions.
- Best Practices Adherence: Follow established best practices and litigation management guidelines to uphold quality standards in claims handling.
You will gain a comprehensive understanding of medical billing, coding, and procedures to accurately evaluate and process injury-related claims. Develop a basic understanding of human anatomy to effectively interpret medical reports and assess injury claims. Learn about common injury types, their treatments, and recovery timelines to accurately determine claim values and appropriate settlements.
QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively. A college degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits, including 4 weeks accrued paid time off, tuition reimbursement, low-cost health insurance options, and a 401(k) employer contribution.
