About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Beef Shoppe Manager to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the beef shoppe and seafood departments, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service and Sales: Ensure all guests receive a polite and friendly greeting, and create a selling environment through the use of effective selling skills.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain the desired level of inventory and supplies for the beef shoppe and seafood departments, ensuring in-stock conditions through proper ordering.
  • Product Preparation and Presentation: Prepare product for sale according to Lowes Foods standards, ensuring high quality and freshness.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the beef shoppe/seafood department staff to ensure satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come into contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
  • Financial Management: Maintain the department's labor budget and ensure that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and an outgoing personality.
  • Operational Knowledge: Have knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
  • Supervisory Experience: Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly, and to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
