About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Services Coach to join our team at Ancora Education. As a Career Services Coach, you will play a critical role in providing ongoing career development and employability coaching to active students and alumni.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Outreach Efforts: Ensure ongoing communication with students and graduates through regular outreach efforts.
  • Community and Employer Outreach: Identify viable employment opportunities for students and graduates within their chosen field by conducting community and employer outreach.
  • Resume Preparation and Interview Techniques: Coordinate and conduct scheduled resume preparation, interview techniques, job search/research, and other professional development sessions.
  • Graduate Employment Qualifications: Collect graduate employment qualifications and criteria to determine the most appropriate employment assistance path.
  • One-on-One Coaching Sessions: Provide availability and opportunities for having one-on-one coaching sessions with students and graduates.
  • Proactive Job Search Efforts: Assist in proactive job search efforts by providing job leads, resources, and online application assistance to generate employment opportunities.
  • Employment Verification and Data Entry: Support the team's efforts in completing Employment Verification documents and accurate data entry.
  • Student Records and Compliance: Maintain organization of student records and processes necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Documentation and Confidentiality: Document in CampusVue all correspondence between the department and students/graduates/employers, and maintain the strictest confidentiality with school information.
  • Student Engagement and Externship Responsibilities: Participate and plan ongoing student engagement activities, and assist with Externship responsibilities when required.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Participate in various school events as required, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, Communication, or a related field from an academic institution accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the Department of Education, or comparable related work experience.
  • Experience: 1 year of work experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, counseling, or business, with proficiency working with Google, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer service and public presentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field from an academic institution accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the Department of Education, 1 year experience in career/employability training, 1 year experience in staffing or career placement, 1 year of call center experience, and 1 year of interviewing experience.
