Clinical Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Care Specialist to join our team at Midtown Health Center Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the primary care providers in their daily tasks.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examinations by directing them to the examining room, providing examination gowns and drapes, and assisting with positioning.
- Verify patient information by interviewing the patient, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of the visit or treatment.
- Support patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations, preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, sterilizing medical instruments, and other assigned clinical duties.
- Document delivery of health care and nursing process in accordance with the clinic's policies and procedures in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
- Administer all medications and vaccines accurately and document in electronic health records.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required, with two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- A current certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) is also required.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
The Clinical Care Specialist will work in a smoke-free and drug-free work environment, frequently exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
