We have an exciting opportunity at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Clinical Hematologist and Transplant Specialist.

About Us

The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care is part of the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Our vibrant academic division comprises over 60 faculty members in nine subspecialty programs, promoting excellence in clinical care, education, research, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Hematologist and Transplant Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care, including ambulatory, inpatient, and consult services
  • Serving as a facility director of the Stem Cell Processing Facility, given your qualifications and interest (effort to be allocated)
  • Involvement in inpatient call coverage and outreach service at approved UW Health locations
  • Protected time (40%) to develop a research or teaching program, engage in scholarly activities, and teach medical students, residents, and fellows within the context of your clinical practice
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A terminal degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship training program in hematology and/or medical oncology
  • Experience in clinical, translational, or basic science research, with a track record of successful publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching and current or high potential to obtain extramural funding
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000, based on industry standards and the location.
