Job Title: Police Officer

Job Summary

The Police Officer will be responsible for enforcing laws, investigating crimes, and providing public safety services to the citizens of Bluffton. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support investigations
  • Provide assistance to the public, including responding to emergency calls and providing information to the community
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and resources
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Two years of law enforcement experience required; experience in a related field may be considered
  • Valid South Carolina driver's license required
  • South Carolina Criminal Justice Training Academy certification required
