Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the emergency department, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring seamless coordination with the healthcare team.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State", obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
