The Corporate Trust Operations Manager for WSFS Institutional Services Division will oversee the daily functions of two operational teams. Responsibilities will encompass Registered Transfer Agent (RTA) item processing, account establishment, payment processing, reconciliations, audits, and DTC processing. Additionally, the role will involve managing our physical and securities custodian operations while ensuring adherence to SEC and OCC regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Corporate Trust Operations Specialists and Corporate Trust Custody associates, providing direction, training, and expertise on all Middle Office functions, including property inquiries as necessary.
- Review and authorize account setups performed by other Associates.
- Manage the comprehensive closing of new transactions by evaluating and negotiating governing documents, coordinating closing activities, and addressing outstanding issues with legal counsel and clients.
- Oversee the physical document check-in process and verify custodial certifications.
- Facilitate trading activities for DVP, DTC, and Fed settlements concerning client securities custodian accounts.
- Ensure client satisfaction to promote retention and referrals by addressing account issues and responding promptly to inquiries.
- Be attentive and responsive to both internal and external clients; collaborate and influence clients and centers of influence.
- Contribute to both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at achieving specific revenue and expense objectives.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of policies and procedures while adhering to internal risk and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple deadlines and participate in projects as required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of proven success in Corporate Trust.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; familiarity with TranStar is advantageous.
- Strong numerical proficiency and basic accounting skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the capability to organize workflow effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Capacity to read, interpret, and execute complex payment strategies related to Corporate Trust transactions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with managers, clients, customers, and the public.
