SUMMARY

The Compliance Risk Officer - Technology is responsible for the development, administration, and oversight of anti-money laundering software systems to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing banking operations, products, and services. This role is crucial in providing accurate and timely insights to internal BSA/AML management, ensuring that compliance risks are effectively managed and that the organization meets stringent compliance standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designs, implements, and oversees a risk-based anti-money laundering software system, including maintenance, upgrades, configuration, data integrity, user access, and system optimization.
  • Conducts research and analysis to formulate recommendations for system updates and modifications.
  • Regularly reviews and assesses operating systems and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Addresses technology challenges through software performance evaluation and implementation.
  • Develops and utilizes automated tools to streamline processes and procedures.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for anti-money laundering software and associated SQL databases.
  • Collects and analyzes information utilized by BSA/AML management regarding clients, transactions, and software performance.
  • Assists in responding to data requests from regulators and internal audits.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position:
  1. A Bachelor’s degree (4-year college) along with 2-4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Proficiency in analyzing, writing, testing, and maintaining code across various programming languages.
  3. Capability to identify and rectify errors in programs, systems, and software.
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  2. Experience with SQL databases
  3. Familiarity with Alteryx
  4. Knowledge of Tableau
  5. Experience with Power BI
