Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Goodwill. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash, and bag trash for proper disposal.
  • Unlock doors and ensure they are locked after cleaning areas.
  • Report needs and concerns to the Project Manager, including checking supply levels.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

  • Perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
  • Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
Working Conditions:
  • Considerable physical activity required, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
