Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning floors, walls, windows, and light fixtures, as well as making repairs and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Custodial Services: Provide excellent custodial services, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as emptying trash and recycling receptacles.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain and care for school grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and performing other outdoor maintenance tasks.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and make recommendations for supplies and equipment purchases.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors, in noisy and crowded areas, and in inclement weather. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
