Civil Project Manager - Land Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for managing land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage land development civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Lead and coordinate land development civil teams to produce high-quality plan sets.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, and external stakeholders to execute projects effectively.
  • Effectively manage internal support teams, including survey, traffic, hydrology, and hydraulics teams.
  • Implement and maintain a QA/QC program to ensure compliance within the project team.
  • Work closely with city and county staff to obtain approval for project plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources effectively across different project stages.
  • Administer construction services portions of projects, including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, and more.
  • Lead and develop a team of up to five technical personnel, including assigning project tasks, reviewing work, training staff, and promoting professional development.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of eight years of total experience, with four years as a Project Manager (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.
  • Experience in cost estimating, bid phase assistance, construction administration, and general construction methods.
  • Proficiency with current CAD/Civil 3D and production software, with the ability to learn new versions or technology.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (or eligible for licensure).
