Job Overview

TNP is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our design team in Fort Worth, TX. This role involves plan production and design of various public/private sector projects, including municipal roadway, stormwater/drainage, potable water, wastewater, and site development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and complete technical design tasks, plan production, and delivery of projects as required and/or assigned.
  • Prepare construction documents for public and/or private public works infrastructure projects from conceptual to final design.
  • Perform construction administration and prepare proposals, reports, schedules, opinions of probable cost, construction specifications, and contract documents.
  • Establish good communication and collaborative working relationships with team members and clients.
  • Organize and schedule your own work, and at times, the work of other team members to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules.
  • Effectively coordinate and collaborate with technical experts, other engineering design teams, and sub-consultants.
  • Assist Project Managers in the management of projects and clients.
  • Direct the work of Civil Engineers and CAD Designers.
  • Assist in the technical training and development of young Civil Engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in the State of Texas.
Professional Requirements:
  • Responsive and results-oriented in service to clients and the design team.
  • Four to eight years of experience in public works infrastructure design preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Proficiency with Storm CAD and Arc Map preferred.
  • Strong commitment to professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks and assignments in a schedule-sensitive environment.
