Veterinary Services Manager Job Overview

At Charles River, we have been at the forefront of drug development for over 75 years. We are in search of a Veterinary Services Manager to join our dedicated team and contribute to advancements in global health.

Position Summary:

  • Deliver expert veterinary services
  • Execute veterinary procedures and manage animal welfare
  • Oversee veterinary and behavioral personnel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily health evaluations of animals
  • Conduct veterinary rounds and offer clinical assistance
  • Perform pre-shipment health assessments
  • Mentor veterinary technicians and staff
  • Advise on animal health management
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required
  • Experience: At least 6 years in a non-human primate (NHP) setting
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in at least one U.S. state
  • Skills: Proficient in computer applications with strong communication and organizational abilities

Compensation Details:

The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $187,000 USD, subject to variations based on experience, qualifications, and location.
