About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Team Lead to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our veterinary technicians to ensure the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor veterinary technicians to ensure the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction
  • Train and supervise veterinary technicians to perform a variety of duties concerned with animal health and client education
  • Assist with scheduling staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital
  • Coach and mentor staff to promote a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Certified or Registered Technician status or equivalent practice experience of at least 5 years
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Strong medical skills and customer service skills
  • Human Resources knowledge and experience with scheduling staff
  • Ability to plan, organize, and effectively present ideas and concepts
  • Ability to direct workflow on the floor and handle multiple tasks at once
