Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Part Time Loss Prevention Associate to join our team at Kohl's Distribution Center. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and supporting the overall objectives of the Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the protection of all Kohl's assets, including physical assets, human assets, and profit assets.
  • Partner with Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisors and Facilities Management to monitor physical security policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations to the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisor.
  • Participate in internal theft investigations and audits to measure accuracy.
  • Monitor associates to ensure compliance with processing guidelines and data entry of all audit results.
  • Perform Gatehouse operations and data entry, as described in the Gatehouse section of the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Manual.
Requirements
  • Adherence to Kohl's Ethical Standards.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exhibit confidentiality.
  • Ability to be multi-functional, use good judgment, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take directions.
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
  • Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math, computer operations, reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and/or previous Distribution Center, Law Enforcement, and/or Store Loss Prevention experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Auditing experience.
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and PeopleSoft.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
