Role Summary:
We are looking for a skilled professional to become part of our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) content development team. This role acts as a subject matter expert responsible for creating, editing, and managing content for various online products, webinars, and educational resources tailored for an EHS audience. The EHS Compliance Content Specialist will serve as a vital resource for the editorial team while collaborating in a team setting to maintain, write, edit, and publish a range of content and visuals for designated products. This position requires the ability to simplify complex topics into accessible language. The ideal candidate will understand how to provide value to customers through instructional and guidance-focused content. Qualified applicants should be adept at researching federal and state regulations, articulating intricate environmental and safety matters, engaging with customers, and coordinating with team members across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor regulations and trending topics to determine content for various publications, including managing timelines and production schedules.
- Compose and refine clear, informative, and engaging content for diverse customer solutions.
- Oversee products through the editorial and production phases, including sourcing materials, editing, formatting text, and guiding content through review, proofreading, design, and final production.
- Collaborate with internal content specialists and external freelancers to assign tasks, address customer inquiries, and supervise the work of proofreaders or copy editors.
- Upload relevant content to appropriate web platforms via the content management system, ensuring proper display and functionality.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and budget constraints for all assigned projects.
- Work collaboratively with team members and across departments (including marketing, product, production, and development) to uphold content standards, implement content strategies, and meet customer needs and deadlines.
- Engage regularly with product, production, sales, and marketing teams to discuss projects and resolve issues.
- Represent products and services in customer and prospect interactions, including participation in internal conferences and industry events.
- Develop market knowledge for assigned segments, including audience demographics, customer needs, and influencing factors (e.g., regulations, best practices).
- Propose innovative product ideas within your areas of expertise across all product lines, overseeing all content-related phases of the new product development process, including research, proposal writing, and presenting the final concept.
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with company guidelines for messaging, tone, style, and editorial processes.
Additional Duties:
- Ensure customer engagement and satisfaction with content.
- Identify opportunities for new content development to enhance the value of existing customer solutions.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 7 years' experience in workplace safety and environmental regulatory matters.
- Proficiency in writing clearly for an EHS audience.
