Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Helper to join our team at PuroClean of Kingston/Poughkeepsie. As a Construction Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our management team in purchasing materials, delivering to job sites, and ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist management team in purchasing materials and delivering to job sites.
  • Assist with setting up of jobs, keeping job site organized, and breaking down at the end of the project.
  • Perform basic punch list duties, including drywall patching, painting, resetting plumbing and electric fixtures, and resetting trim.
  • Communicate with management team with updates and progress throughout the day.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge and skill to perform punch list items.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of building materials.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally, politely, and respectfully with clients and co-workers.
  • Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
  • Vision abilities (with correction) including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • The employee will frequently be required to walk, stand, sit, bend, climb, reach, and use hands.
  • The employee will regularly be required to crawl, kneel, and lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
