Job Summary

An Executive Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate tasks, serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments, and provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Review Standards: Develop and maintain high standards for all housekeeping staff in accordance with established policies and practices.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services are rendered to all areas.
  • Interviews and Evaluations: Conduct interviews, select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with facility standards.
  • Orientations and Training: Provide orientations, training, and development opportunities for all housekeeping staff.
  • Inspections and Evaluations: Perform regular inspections and evaluations of the facility and recommend action items as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Conduct regular staff meetings, communicate with members of other departments, and coordinate housekeeping activities.
Requirements

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history and working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated progressive growth in the field of healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance, possess excellent written and oral communication, listening, and empathy skills, and be able to utilize a participative approach to managing staff.
