Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production General Manager to lead our pig production and genetic gain initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving genetic progress, operational revenue, and managing cost parameters within our production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve genetic progress and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure successful implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to produce repeatable and measurable results
  • Measure and report progress to supply chain management, health assurance, product development team, and export teams
  • Participate in developing new husbandry practices or improving existing ones for pigs in all phases of production
  • Develop and execute training tools and adapt evolving technologies into daily management
  • Provide management or oversight of collaborative technical projects, as needed
  • Present recommendations, results, and experience gained to broader audiences
Requirements
  • University Degree and/or equivalent experience of five (5) years within contemporary swine production systems
  • Proven analytical capabilities to link production data with interventions needed to improve system performance and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems in a production environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications; ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to travel 25%
