At Columbia Community Mental Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with serious mental illnesses and addiction issues. We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist - Residential Support to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced professional who can provide direct client services, teach activities of daily living, and model appropriate interpersonal and vocational skills. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to handle high-stress situations, and maintain confidentiality.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices. As a Mental Health Specialist - Residential Support, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, provide emotional support, and facilitate group sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client services, including one-on-one counseling and group therapy sessions
  • Teach activities of daily living, such as housekeeping, cooking, and personal hygiene
  • Model appropriate interpersonal and vocational skills
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and confidential files

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $23.41 - $30.57 per hour, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 403(b) retirement savings and flexible spending accounts.

Working Conditions:

This is a non-remote position that requires working in an office environment/residential home setting. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care to our clients.
