At Columbia Community Mental Health, we provide residential level care for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

We are seeking a Community Support Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals who work together to create a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

This is an on-call position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work varying shifts. The ideal candidate will have high school diploma/equivalency and at least one year of experience working with individuals with mental health needs.

The salary range for this position is $21.54 - $28.71 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical and dental coverage, 403(B) retirement savings, and more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues
  • Teach activities of daily living, such as housekeeping, cooking, and personal hygiene
  • Model appropriate interpersonal and vocational skills/behaviors
  • Deal effectively with high stress situations and handle unusual human behavior
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered

This position works in an office environment/residential home. This position is not remote.
