The Opportunity

MassMutual is seeking a seasoned executive to lead our life insurance product portfolio. As Head of Life Product, you will be responsible for ensuring our life insurance products align with the company's strategy and support the growth of our whole life franchise.

This role requires a deep understanding of the life insurance competitive landscape, product structuring, and pricing. You will lead the full product life cycle, from concept development to implementation, and bring a deep understanding of profitability and capital implications to our ongoing pricing work.

The Team

You will join a dynamic, senior leadership team focused on providing financial well-being for all Americans. Your team will include pricing and implementation experts with both technical and qualitative skills who are dedicated to the firm's life insurance product suite.

The Impact

As Head of Life Product, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our life insurance product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy and growth objectives.
  • Bring a deep understanding of the life insurance competitive landscape, product structuring, and pricing to inform product development and pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results and bring differentiated products to market.
  • Represent the MassMutual Life product suite at industry events and conferences.
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships to identify unique, creative ways to achieve results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of life insurance product leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the life insurance competitive landscape, product structuring, and pricing.
  • Effective communication skills across all mediums.
  • Proven track record of innovative life insurance product development.
  • Culture carrier and significant management experience.
  • Technical life pricing skills.
  • High level of critical thinking.
