The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) plays a vital role in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting, providing comprehensive care and treatment for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. This position requires a high level of expertise in utilizing various types of oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment, including masks, tents, and incubators, to deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
- Measure ventilator volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
- Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
- Vocational School Graduate.
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 417-bed acute care facility located in west Miami-Dade County. Our hospital offers a wide range of services, including trauma, burn, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health, and diagnostic services. We have two full-service free-standing ER facilities and are a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center certified by the Florida Department of Health.
