Job DescriptionAs Chief Credit Expert, you will lead a premier team of Biglaw attorneys to produce innovative covenant analysis research, covering the entire credit cycle from performing to distressed. Your substantial legal experience will be instrumental in creating insightful research and driving the growth of Reorg's covenant analysis product.
Key Responsibilities- Grow Covenant Analysis Product: support the growth of Reorg's covenant analysis research product, covering broadly syndicated loans and private debt, and increase Reorg Covenant's market share, revenues, and influence within the leveraged finance industry.
- Strategically Grow a Top-Notch Team: manage a team of experienced and talented attorneys to perform to their full potential, attract, retain, and develop top talent within the legal research field.
- Author Insightful Covenant Analysis: use your substantial legal experience to deeply analyze credit agreements and create insightful research, writing and editing cutting-edge covenant analysis reports.
- Innovating and Scaling our Offering: spearhead strategies to innovate and scale the loans covenants offering, optimizing processes to accommodate the rapidly increasing demand and to enhance productivity.
- Client Engagement: nurture strong relationships with Reorg's clients, use your strong commercial acumen to provide clear answers to complex legal client questions, proactively seek feedback, seize and build on improvement opportunities, and actively encourage clients to engage with our offering.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with leaders across data, sales, marketing, technology functions in Reorg to ensure our Covenants offering is best in class.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a senior finance lawyer to manage a team of highly successful covenant attorneys. You will hone your business acumen, strategic and operational leadership, and management skills within Reorg's vibrant culture. We offer an attractive and competitive compensation package, inclusive of base salary, annual bonus, and equity.
Requirements and QualificationsWe are looking for an exceptional and dynamic finance lawyer with substantial Biglaw experience in broadly syndicated lending and private debt. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and managing lawyers, empowering them to achieve their highest potential. They will possess solid business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit, be eager to roll up their sleeves to drive the success of Reorg's covenant analysis product, and have a genuine interest in solving problems for, and cultivating relationships with, Reorg's subscribers in the credit markets.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated total compensation for this position is $312,000-$360,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
