About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract position for 12 months. As a Chief of Staff, you will serve as an extension and trusted partner to the General Manager and the leadership team. You will have a proven track record of getting things done across organizational and functional lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a strategic partner to GM and the leadership team by expanding their reach, amplifying their influence, and being a sounding board for strategic decisions
  • Help formulate and operationalize Taara's goals and objectives
  • Anticipate, articulate and pre-solve problems before they arise
  • Advise on issues that require diplomacy and situational sensitivity
  • Keep various work streams on track towards short and long-term objectives
  • Help determine priorities; assist with hand-off, delegation or prioritization of tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role or in Management Consulting, Strategy, Operations or Program Management
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and build strong partnerships independently, working with technical and cross-functional teams who do not report into this role to creatively solve complex problems
  • Strong project / program management skills and ability to keep multiple priorities moving at the same time
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented work style and ability to inspire trust by demonstrating sound judgment and integrity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization, including executive audiences
  • Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business or a related field
  • Experience with hardware development and/or telecommunications industry

Project Taara is focused on delivering high-throughput and long-range connectivity via free-space optical communication (FSOC) links that use light (eye-safe lasers) propagating between two terminals to wirelessly transmit high speed data. Learn more about Project Taara.
