We prioritize excellence and quality patient care, putting patients at the center of our care to provide the best level of health and well-being.
The Nocturnist Physician will work 17 shifts every six weeks, with flexibility in how many shifts are worked concurrently. Shifts are 7p-7a, with most shifts worked at Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran Hospitals, and occasional shifts at Methodist West.
We offer a cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff, allowing for autonomy and flexibility. Our experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, know the patients and the community, and we have a fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.
ResponsibilitiesThe Nocturnist Physician will be responsible for:
- Telehospitalist service providing cross coverage
- Evaluating, interpreting, and coordinating information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Providing patient-focused, friendly, and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
