We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our dietary team at the Robinson Terrace Center in Stamford, NY.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Estimated Salary: $1,000 per month based on experience and qualifications

Job Description:

Summary

The Cook will be responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes, serving meals, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a long-term care facility and be able to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food as assigned according to standardized recipes.
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
