Culinary Specialist

Sally's Apizza is a renowned establishment in the culinary world, famous for its traditional New Haven-style Apizza. We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team and contribute to the preparation of high-quality pizzas.

We are looking for an experienced Line Cook who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing pizzas according to our recipes and specifications. You should have a passion for food, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Pizza Preparation

• Prepare pizzas according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
• Execute and plate dishes with attention to presentation and portion control.
• Monitor the temperature of kitchen equipment and cooking times.

Food Safety and Quality Control

• Maintain proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and health regulations are met.
• Follow all relevant food health and safety requirements.

Team Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Languages

• English (fluency required)
• Basic Spanish (preferred but not required)

Experience

• Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough (preferred)
• Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices

Skills

• Excellent time-management skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Compensation

$17-$24 per hour, depending on experience
