About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a key member of our behavioral health services team, you will play a vital role in providing ambulatory care to individuals, families, and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Assist in the administration, development, and evaluation of social work programs and policies to ensure high-quality care.
  • Clinical Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct social work consultation, perform clinical diagnosis, and provide psychotherapeutic intervention to patients.
  • Psychotherapy and Counseling: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, groups, and intensive outpatient programs.
  • Crisis Intervention and Assessment: Evaluate patients' psychological and mental status, determine crisis situations, and refer patients to appropriate levels of care.
  • Case Management and Coordination: Assess patients' needs, develop social work service plans, and coordinate referrals to other clinicians or facilities.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to regional and departmental guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration and Quality Management: Participate in clinical team meetings, departmental planning, and quality management activities to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Hawaii) and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in providing evidence-based treatment, conducting individual and group therapy, and working with patients with serious/chronic mental illness.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of current clinical conditions, methods, and interventions.
