Job Title: Caregiver

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with activities of daily living. As a caregiver on our team, you will provide one-on-one in-home care services such as companion care and personal care to keep the senior client safe, healthy, and comfortable at home.

Job Duties:
  • Grooming and Hygiene
  • Mobility Assistance, including using transfer aids (hoyer lifts, gait belts, etc.)
  • Transferring and Positioning
  • Toileting and Incontinence Care
  • Meal Preparation and Cooking
  • Light Housekeeping and Laundry
  • Grocery Shopping/Errands/Transportation
  • Medication Reminders
  • Working with Dementia/Alzheimer's Clients'
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience preferred (Family Counts)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the shift. High level visual and hearing acuity and verbal communication required.
  • Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for criminal background investigation and motor vehicle driving record.
  • Permission to submit to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have valid South Carolina Driver's License
  • Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Empathy for the needs of the client
  • Treat clients, families, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect; presents a positive public image
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
