Nursing Administrator

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Administrator to join our team in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
About the Role:The Nursing Administrator will provide administrative direction and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage diverse activities associated with operating the Nursing Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with directing the operations of the Nursing Department on the off-shift.
- Collaborate with the off-shift nursing resources to ensure quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure resource availability for patient care needs on the off-shift.
- Serve as a consultant and resource to staff and professional colleagues regarding administrative issues.
- Participate in professional, institutional, and community organizations.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to monitor overall quality standards of the off-shift.
- Implement, review, and revise patient care policies and nursing standards to ensure compliance of the nursing staff.
- Direct operations by providing guidance to the nursing, medical, and support staff on the off-shift.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with interdepartmental personnel, professional staff, and the community.
- Participate in the development of financial proposals to support programs identified for the off-shift.
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of the above programs.
- Assist in determining cost-effective strategies for patient care delivery.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing, BSN, and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Five years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients and families, nursing staff, and other disciplines in all situations encountered.
- Must have demonstrated ability in management of diverse activities associated with operating the Nursing Department.
- Must possess solid clinical skills in order to provide direction, information, and explanation to all levels of hospital management and staff.
- Must possess communication skills adequate to provide necessary direction, information, and explanation to all levels of hospital management and staff.
May be exposed to infectious diseases, sealed radiation, and variances in temperature control and ventilation.
