Job Title: Patient Transporter

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Transporter to join our team at Boston Medical Center. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical equipment, and specimens throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients, medical equipment, and specimens to and from various areas within the hospital, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care and transportation.
  • Operate hospital vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience as a Patient Transporter in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies, as well as stand for long periods.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
