Job Title: Patient Transporter

At Boston Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Transporter to join our team. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical equipment, and specimens throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients, medical equipment, and specimens to and from various areas within the hospital, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude in all interactions.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate documentation of patient transports.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and safety.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with nursing and support departments to ensure seamless patient care and transportation services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6-12 months of experience as a Patient Transporter in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, push and pull stretchers, and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and patient care, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
