As a Communications Senior Director at The Travelers Indemnity Company, you will serve as a trusted advisor to technology and innovation senior leaders, helping them execute communications plans and strategies that drive business results. You will work closely with business, function, and initiative leaders to develop and deliver complex communications plans, leveraging your expertise in writing, editing, and project management to craft compelling narratives and engaging content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and proofread written materials for accuracy and consistency, with a focus on adapting to diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Oversee communications projects from team members, providing feedback and guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead the development and delivery of complex communications plans, collaborating with senior leaders and business stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders, cultivating strong partnerships and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Manage and identify recommendations to enterprise approval processes, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding and mentoring team members on communications and strategy development.
  • Identify risks, issues, and challenges, recommending solutions to ensure effective communications and minimize potential impacts.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in communications or a related field, with 3+ years of management experience.
  • Expert writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to build productive working relationships across functional areas.
