Lactation Consultant

TriHealth is seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to provide expert breastfeeding support to new mothers and their families. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy lactation practices and empowering families to achieve their breastfeeding goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized lactation consultations to breastfeeding mothers and their families
- Develop and implement breastfeeding education programs for new mothers and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for breastfeeding families
- Conduct thorough assessments of breastfeeding difficulties and develop effective plans to address them
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and breastfeeding
- Graduate of an approved lactation consultant program or equivalent experience
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care.
