Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Administrative Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment team in Columbia, MD. As a key member of our team, you will facilitate the smooth operations of our team, serving as a liaison between staff, clients, families, other service providers, and members of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the smooth operations of the ACT team
  • Serve as liaison between staff and clients, families, other service providers, and members of the community
  • Triage urgent needs or situations that require immediate attention
  • Sort, prioritize, and distribute mail
  • Participate in team meetings and assure documentation of the meetings
  • Coordinate team schedules
  • Maintain team rosters, monitor staff to client ratios, and track weekly and monthly client service utilization
  • Track service authorizations
  • Collect, manage, and report data required by the organization, regulations, accreditation, and evidence-based practice fidelity
  • Manage client medical records

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, public mental health services, Medicaid and Medicare insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, ability to navigate unknown applications, and proficient with keyboarding skills to input required documentation into electronic health record
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Must be covered under an active auto insurance policy and valid copy of auto insurance prior to hire
  • Reliable transportation plan
