We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Houston Engineering, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review project studies, reports, and design documents for water resources projects.
  • Provide field services and construction oversight for water resources projects such as dams, levees, streams, and lakes.
  • Mentor and develop younger engineers to become effective water resource modelers, designers, planners, and project managers.
  • Engage in public speaking regarding civil engineer water resources projects.
  • Participate in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water planning, stream restoration, design of flood reduction and water quality improvements, and watershed-scale plans and studies.

About the Role:

This role will involve working on a variety of water resource projects, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm water planning, stream restoration, and design of flood reduction and water quality improvements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.
