**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist teachers with classroom organization, management, and instructional strategies to create an engaging and effective learning environment.
- Work individually with assigned students to ensure each student benefits from the assignment or task, utilizing learning tools and computer-based training as needed.
- Monitor students' movement through cafeteria lines and assist the custodian with cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Support teachers with the preparation of boards and wall materials related to daily lesson plans, promoting a well-organized and visually appealing classroom.
- Grade tests or student assignments, providing accurate and timely feedback to students.
- Make copies and print materials for classes, ensuring all necessary resources are available for teachers and students.
- Assist administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient, and safe transition of students from the classroom to the bus area, prioritizing student safety and well-being.
- Support the training of volunteers, promoting a culture of collaboration and community involvement.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
**Certifications and Experience:**
- Current GA Paraprofessional Certificate; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED AND passed GA paraprofessional assessment; OR
- Associate's degree or completed 2 years of study at an institution of higher education.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Two (2) years of experience working with children.
