About the Role

In this Senior position, you will be responsible for supporting the design efforts on a wide variety of market sectors with a specific focus on industrial projects such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Data Centers, and other Advanced Manufacturing projects.

This role requires basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems and Design, including heating/cooling loads calculations, HVAC equipment selection, heat recovery systems, air and water plant distribution systems, ventilation, and process exhaust systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Knowledge in scope definition, design schedule management, coordination with other disciplines, design document creation, and quality reviews;
  • Coordination with department heads for resource allocation;
  • Budget tracking throughout design;
  • RFP scope definition and resource estimation;
  • Preform engineering studies for highly technical clients whose details include but are not limited to phased system loading, payback analysis, and knowledge of industry trends;
  • Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, Sequence of Operations documents, and narratives for non-technical audiences explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making;
  • Oversee load calculations, systems design, cross-discipline coordination, and signing and sealing of contract documents;
  • Leading a team of Engineers and Designers on multiple projects;
  • Mentoring junior engineers and participating in in-house continuing education program

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in industrial design and construction industry with a current Professional Engineers license in the U.S.;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients. This could be either as a Project Manager or as the Engineering Lead;
  • Minimum 5 years project management / client interface experience;
  • Technical writing experience and proficiency;
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
