Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Home Health

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional status and develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories and assess the home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living.
  • Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations to enhance client outcomes.
  • Continually assess and revise the occupational therapy care plan and participate in the multidisciplinary care plan as appropriate.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided.
Requirements:
  • A current NJ Occupational Therapist license.
  • Prior home care experience preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
