Job Summary:

The Receiving Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the receiving department, working closely with all department managers and vendor partners to maintain high standards of receiving policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check vendor partners in and out, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of shipments.
  • Maintain back room standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Enforce and implement receiving and back door security policies, ensuring a secure and organized work environment.
  • Ensure all loss prevention policies and procedures are in effect at all times, minimizing losses and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining all safety programs, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the receiving department.

Requirements:

  • Mature, meticulous, and self-driven individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, dealing effectively with vendors and all personnel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with a thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
  • Proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including hand jack, bailer, forklift, cutter, proper lifting techniques, proper scanning technique, hand truck, and trash compactor.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Receiving Operations Coordinator must be able to stand in place for long periods of time, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment. Must have full range of upper body motion to occasionally lift stock. Requires ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time and possess functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment.

Work Schedule:

The Receiving Operations Coordinator is an hourly position, working part-time hours, including early morning shifts, including Saturdays.
